STRAILwave mSW 730 - Effektiver Lärmschutz für lärmintensive Streckenabschnitte

mSW 730

Effective noise protection for high-noise railway sections

The mSW 730 is a noise protection solution designed for railway lines with particularly high noise exposure. With a height of 730 mm, the barrier is especially suited for routes in densely populated areas or along heavily used tracks. Positioned in close proximity to the rail, it effectively reduces noise directly at the source without obstructing visibility. Manufactured from recycled rubber granulate with a highly absorptive surface, the mSW 730 delivers excellent acoustic performance. The modules can be installed quickly and without conventional foundations, simplifying installation even in confined spaces or on existing infrastructure.

High-performance noise protection with a system approach

The mSW 730 provides outstanding noise reduction while maintaining full visibility — ideal for noise-sensitive areas with high traffic volumes:

  • 730 mm height, suitable for particularly noise-intensive railway sections
  • Source-based noise reduction with high efficiency in the wheel–rail interaction zone
  • Fast installation using ground screws or an isolated substructure at the rail foot
  • Made from recycled rubber granulate – durable and environmentally friendly

STRAILwave mSW 730 - Effective noise protection for high-noise railway sections

Effective noise protection for main lines and urban corridors

The mSW 730 is designed for heavily used railway corridors with frequent long-distance, regional or freight traffic — for example along inner-city corridors, densely populated residential areas or noise-critical main routes. By positioning the barrier close to the emission source using an isolated substructure at the rail foot or a ground screw foundation, targeted sound absorption is achieved in the wheel–rail contact zone. The system supports compliance with statutory noise limits and helps meet planning requirements within noise action plans and regulatory approval processes.

3D mSW730

Installation and maintenance advantages in constrained construction environments

Thanks to its flexible anchoring options using ground screws or an isolated substructure, the mSW 730 can be efficiently installed even in restricted construction environments or alongside existing infrastructure. The robust rubber construction made from recycled material is corrosion-free, low-maintenance and resistant to ballast impact, vibration and weathering. For infrastructure operators, this results in a cost-efficient solution that delivers high noise reduction performance with minimal maintenance requirements.
