Infrastructure Update in Italy: STRAILway on a Metal Bridge in Nola

 –

An important infrastructure project has been successfully completed on the EAV railway network: a metal bridge in Nola has been equipped with STRAILway polymer sleepers specially designed for use as bridge sleepers.

It is precisely in the demanding field of bridge construction that the specific material advantages of STRAILway really come into their own:

  • High Durability & Reliability: The innovative material withstands weather conditions and mechanical loads over the long term, without the typical fatigue-related deterioration associated with conventional materials.
  • Reduced maintenance: Thanks to its exceptional service life, STRAILway significantly reduces maintenance requirements over the entire life cycle of the bridge.
  • Focus on Sustainability: As an environmentally friendly and recyclable solution, the polymer sleeper makes a direct contribution to a greener railway infrastructure.

The Nola project impressively demonstrates how modern engineering, precision and sustainable materials work hand in hand to enhance the performance of the railway network and make it fit for the future.
