Efficient flange groove drainage for modern level crossings
The STRAIL drainage set is an intelligent solution for the targeted removal of surface water directly from the flange groove and from the inner panels of a level crossing. It is suitable for both new installations and retrofitting existing crossings, especially where insufficient longitudinal gradient is present. By combining durable rubber panels with a stainless-steel drainage grid, rainwater is efficiently collected and discharged via a connected drainage pipe into an infiltration system or the sewer network. This reliably prevents water accumulation in the track area, even during heavy rainfall or snowmelt.

Drainage solution for level crossings with low gradient conditions
The STRAIL drainage set is particularly suitable for level crossings with low longitudinal gradients or zero gradient, where precipitation cannot reliably drain away. Especially in areas prone to water accumulation – such as low-lying track sections, crossings in depression areas or highly compacted subgrades – the system ensures controlled drainage directly from the flange groove. This not only improves safety for vehicles and pedestrians but also provides long-term protection of the track infrastructure against moisture-related damage
Technical integration and retrofitting in existing tracks
