Project description
In Bispingen (Lower Saxony), a new residential development was built in direct proximity to a heavily used railway line. The challenge for the planners: provide effective protection against passenger and freight train noise without visually separating the neighborhood from its surroundings with massive concrete barriers.
The solution implemented in Bispingen included installing the mSW 1250 over approximately 300 meters. To maximize performance, the wall was combined with rail web dampers along part of the section. The result: highly effective noise reduction directly at the source — without obstructing the view.
Technical highlights of the project:
- Minimum height, maximum effect: With a height of just 1.25 m, the view for residents and passengers remains unobstructed.
- Highly efficient absorption: The mSW 1250 captures rolling noise as close as possible to its point of origin.
- Quick installation: Thanks to the installation on ground screw foundations, the installation was quick, easy and did not require major groundworks.
The pilot installation in Bispingen demonstrates how cutting-edge infrastructure can coexist seamlessly with a high quality of life for residents.
