Project description
The goal of this major project in Ibbenbüren was to significantly enhance traffic safety at the Glücksburger Straße level crossing, which had previously been a high-accident hotspot.
The optimized track layout now provides clear and safe conditions: the road features two separate lanes, aligned almost perpendicular to the tracks, greatly improving visibility and clarity. Separate, secure crossings have been created specifically for cyclists and pedestrians.
High-quality system solutions for six crossings: To meet the varying requirements, several STRAIL systems were combined. Four separate pedestrian and cyclist crossings were equipped with the specially designed pede panels in combination with ponti outer panels. Two level crossings: Equipped with the proven, robust strail and ponti level crossing plates.
