pedeSOLAR
Solar-powered LED marking for enhanced safety at level crossings
pedeSOLAR is an innovative extension to the pede system, significantly improving the visibility of pedestrian level crossings at night – completely independent of any power supply. A series of LED light elements is integrated directly into the system. The built-in solar LED units are factory-installed and provide autonomous, maintenance-free illumination for up to 240 hours when fully charged. Especially at night or in adverse weather conditions, they can increase visibility to up to 900 metres. This makes pedeSOLAR ideal for unlit or remote level crossings.

Visibility solution for level crossings
pedeSOLAR is particularly suitable for level crossings in rural areas, along farm tracks, forestry routes or low-traffic branch lines where no conventional lighting is available. The solar-powered LED marking units significantly improve the visibility of pedestrian crossings and effectively complement existing safety systems, especially at night, in fog or during heavy rain. pedeSOLAR also provides a flexible, immediately deployable solution for temporarily used routes – without the need for additional technical installations.

Technical advantages during installation and operational reliability
The light elements integrated into the panel system are fully pre-assembled and require neither ground works nor cabling. This simplifies installation and reduces the risk of failures caused by external interference. The autonomous lighting units operate reliably even under diffuse light conditions and can bridge extended periods of poor weather. Thanks to its vandalism-resistant design, pedeSOLAR provides a permanently reliable lighting solution for operators requiring low-maintenance illumination in exposed infrastructure areas.
