STRAIL D kerbstone
Support and drainage system combined in one element
The STRAIL D kerbstone is a sophisticated system component for level crossings where water drainage and stability are equally important. It not only serves as a reliable support for STRAIL outer panels, but also drains surface water into the ground. This protects the track bed from damaging moisture penetration. This is a clear plus for durability and safety. Thanks to its identical design to the T kerbstone, installation can be carried out efficiently and without additional effort.

Combined solution for kerbstones and drainage
The STRAIL D kerbstone is particularly suitable for level crossings with an increased water load, such as at dips, slopes or routes with a dense surface. Thanks to the integrated drainage function, road and rainwater is drained away directly before it can soak the track bed. The dual effect as a load-bearing support and drainage element reduces both the risk of subsidence and subsequent renovation costs in the transition area.

Efficiency benefits for installation and system compatibility
Apart from the drainage function, the STRAIL D kerbstone is largely identical in design to the STRAIL T kerbstone. The D kerbstone can therefore be quickly integrated into existing construction processes without any additional adjustments to the geometry or laying process. In combination with the STRAIL laying foundation, a standard-compliant, low-maintenance transition solution with a continuous edge finish is created. The system meets the requirements for safe level crossings, even when exposed to truck traffic or seasonal weather conditions.
