KRAIBURG STRAIL also receives silver award for 2024
KRAIBURG STRAIL has been awarded the silver medal for sustainability by EcoVadis for 2024, making it one of the top 15% of all companies assessed and one of the top 5% in the rail vehicle construction industry. EcoVadis conducts company ratings worldwide in the areas of environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.
STRAIL has been working with EcoVadis since 2018 and has improved its sustainability performance every year since then. In 2024, the company is now making another significant leap upwards and is coming very close to the gold award. “We are constantly evolving and are very proud that we have once again scored better in this year’s rating. In the areas of the environment and labour law in particular, we were able to improve again compared to the previous year,” says Andreas Draak, Sustainability Manager at STRAIL.
Sustainable products
STRAIL has always been on an extremely sustainable path with its products. The base material for the level crossing and noise protection systems as well as the plastic sleepers are secondary raw materials such as vulcanised rubber compounds and polyolefins reinforced with fibres. In addition, production in Tittmoning is optimised so that it uses as little energy as possible and produces hardly any waste.
