Les gigantesques grues portuaires y utilis\u00e9es ont besoin d&rsquo;un syst\u00e8me de rails robuste, lequel est int\u00e9gr\u00e9 directement dans le quai, pour effectuer leurs op\u00e9rations de chargement. En fonction de la dimension de la grue, les rails sont encastr\u00e9s dans des cavit\u00e9s en b\u00e9ton dont la profondeur peut atteindre m\u00eame 55 centim\u00e8tres \u00e0 certains points.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alors que ces profondes cavit\u00e9s garantissent aux grues portuaires la libert\u00e9 de mouvement n\u00e9cessaire, elles pr\u00e9sentent un obstacle consid\u00e9rable pour tous les autres usagers de la route, des v\u00e9hicules logistiques aux pi\u00e9tons.
